Trisat was asked by the South Shropshire Housing Association to provide realistic Conflict Resolution training to members of staff that make house calls to deal with housing issues. Some of the members of staff have had to manage problematic and sometimes hostile situations that resort in physical confrontation.
The previous training provided only dealt with de-escalation strategies, that didn’t cover the situations the employees faced. Trisat designed a programme that also included situational awareness and breakaway concepts, so that each member was able to communicate effectively whilst placing themselves in a safe environment.
Over the four courses provided by Trisat we found that the new knowledge was well received and that many members were able to apply the concepts to their own working environment needs.
