About this course
Delivery of Conflict Management Training blended intensive 2 day (RQF) Course. Developed to meet the requirements of trainers who wish to deliver scenario-based conflict management training within a corporate of business setting or if eligable the security sector. This qualification also forms part of the Personal Security & Defence Instructors Programme.
The qualification is suitable for delivery across a wide range of business sectors and is particularly beneficial to those delivering Conflict Management/Resolution training in a customer facing role such as Loss prevention, security and public area personnel, customer services positions, door supervisors, event and entertainment personnel and close protection personnel.
Once qualified this qualification course will enable the delivery of the QNUK Level 2 Award in Conflict Management (RQF) within business or to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) specification for those delivering the licence to practice qualifications which include scenario-based conflict management training.
The Aim of the course
To achieve the qualification learners must achieve 2 mandatory Units:
Unit 1: Managing Conflict in the Workplace when dealing with Customers, Service Users or the Public | Completion via e-learning with an MCQ test
Unit 2: Delivering scenario-based Conflict Management Training | Portfolio of Evidence over the 2 day practical part of the course
Completing the full qualification, requires delegates to undertake both units and the practical scenario assessments at our training centre.”
Course Entry Requirements
To participate and complete this qualification all candidates must:
Be a minimum of 18 years of age
Have a good comprehension of the english language
Hold a suitable teaching / training qualification (or recognised equivalent):
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) (RQF)
Level 3 or 4 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS / DTTLS).
If you can evidence a working towards or nearing the completion of your teaching award. Delegates will be accepted (the certificate will not be issued until proof of teaching qualifiation).

Course Contents
The qualification course contents basically covers the indicative content within the first unit and the second unit covers how to safely and effectivley deliver a scenario based session. The main content is as follows:
Unit 1
Know how communication can be used to solve problems and reduce the likelihood of conflict
Know the factors that influence human responses in conflict situations
Know how to assess and reduce risks in conflict situations
Know how to communicate effectively and de-escalate conflict in emotive situations
Know good practice to follow after conflict situations
Unit 2
Understand the principles of scenario-based conflict management training
Be able to plan and design scenario-based conflict management training
Be able to deliver scenario-based conflict management training
