About this course

With the current terrorist threats and the rise in knife crime in the past few years, there is an increasing need to prepare the general public to manage such incidents. This need has led to the development of the QA Level 2 Award in citizenAID (RQF) regulated qualification. This qualification has been designed to teach members of the public life-saving skills for use in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident.

Based on the citizenAID Pocket Guide and Phone App, this extended 3 hour qualification will teach Learners how to react safely, pass on effective messages to the emergency services, prioritise the injured and give life-saving first aid in these extreme situations.

The aim of the course

The QA Level 2 Award in citizenAID (RQF) extended qualification has been developed for all members of the public who wish to learn valuable life-saving skills and techniques for use in the event of a shooting, stabbing, bombing or other deliberate incident.
